Job summary

DCV TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers globally, including Naval and Commercial vessels and shore-based systems. The role involves field service interventions, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and acceptance testing.

The candidate should be able to travel UK and overseas, work to schedule, and contribute to training and technical documentation while complying with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
Knowledge of computers including hardware and software applications.
Knowledge of basic Networking.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Must have a full driving licence and a valid passport.

Responsibilities

Travel within the UK and overseas; visits typically short (up to 2 weeks).
Carry out service interventions including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and acceptance tests.
Work towards delivering Customer Training.
Complete detailed service reports and expenses promptly.
Communicate technical issues to line management.
Support Customer Services Helpdesk; draft Technical Advice Sheets as needed.
Pursue quality, improvement and customer satisfaction.
Observe Health and Safety rules and complete required training.
