Job summary

DCV Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our marine electronics team. You will install, commission and service radar, navigation and electronic systems on naval vessels and ships, with international travel.

You will diagnose faults, interpret schematics, provide on-site and remote support, and produce accurate service reports. Candidates should have hands-on engineering skills, a full driving licence, and willingness to travel widely.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar.
Strong fault-finding, servicing and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and basic networking.
Experience with installation, commissioning or maintenance of technical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Full driving licence and valid passport.
Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, service and troubleshoot marine radar, navigation and electronic systems.
Diagnose electrical, electronic, hardware and basic networking faults.
Carry out equipment testing, acceptance testing and technical inspections.
Provide field service support at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
Interpret technical manuals, engineering documentation and system drawings.
Complete accurate service reports and communicate technical findings.
Support customers remotely through technical helpdesk activities.
Work safely on vessels, at heights and in challenging environments.
