Job summary

TEK4, based in Leicestershire, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair advanced machining equipment worldwide. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and train operators on safe operation.

Travel to customer sites is regular; you will work with internal teams to implement updates and contribute to product and process improvements, while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Field service experience including on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Background in technical support with remote and on-site assistance.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and following service schedules.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to read drawings and service manuals; CNC/EDM/ECM knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and basic IT tools.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain TEK4 machines at customer sites worldwide.
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and software issues.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide technical support at customer sites and train operators.
• Document service activities according to procedures.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to implement updates and improvements.
• Travel to customer facilities and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.
