Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking an Events Operations Lead to drive the operational delivery of its global Experiences portfolio. You will own selected events end-to-end, lead workstreams for global launches, PURE experiences, hospitality programmes and client activations, and act as senior delivery authority beneath the Events Manager.

The role requires international travel, live event leadership and a focus on governance, risk management, budgets and quality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in event management or experiential delivery.
• Ability to manage large budgets and vendor relationships.
• Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience with governance, risk management and compliance in live events.
• Advanced project and program management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and delivery of allocated events and activations.
• Act as Event Lead on designated events with full planning and coordination responsibility.
• Lead delivery workstreams across major global events and hospitality programmes.
• Develop strategies and implementation plans aligned to programme objectives.
• Exercise autonomy to adapt plans, reallocate resources and implement solutions.
• Oversee project plans, critical paths, run sheets and risk registers.
• Lead supplier selection, performance management and contract delivery.
• Manage operational budgets, forecasts and expenditure with governance.
• Approve risk mitigation strategies within governance frameworks.
• Lead venue, travel, logistics planning across concurrent projects.
• Provide on-site leadership during live events and direct agencies and teams.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across functions.
• Lead post-event evaluations and embed lessons for future activity.
• Drive improvements in governance, templates and delivery processes.
