Job summary

Matillion is seeking a Director of Solution Architecture to lead our international team across EMEA, Middle East and Africa, driving strategic GTM initiatives and complex technical deals. You will partner with executives to ensure architectural alignment and revenue growth while expanding Matillion’s footprint in international markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical enterprise roles (Solution Architecture, Sales Engineering, Professional Services) with 5+ years leading pre-sales teams.
• Proven enterprise solution selling with multi-stakeholder cycles and multi-million ARR targets.
• Experience institutionalising MEDDPICC or similar value-driven sales frameworks.
• Deep expertise across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Deep domain knowledge in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Hands-on integration architecture including APIs, Linux, SQL and data pipelines.
• Active in leading/deploying AI initiatives, especially enterprise Generative/Agentic AI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of senior Solution Architects across EMEA, Middle East, and Africa to maximize revenue, customer success, and execution.
• Sponsor high-value deals by joining customer meetings and deep-dive sessions with your team.
• Oversee team cadence, 1:1s, professional development plans, and performance metrics.
• Drive GTM initiatives and operationalize to expand global footprint and deliver revenue growth in 6–12 months.
• Develop partner strategies with regional ecosystems to scale impact across international markets.
• Align cross-functionally with senior leaders to unify pre-sales strategies with business goals.
