Job summary

Wise is building a new Global Spend program and Credit Card offering. You will design the Product Risk and Compliance Program across licenses worldwide, embedding a first line of defence in the Global Spend team, owning projects from inception to completion.

You will coordinate regulatory and risk controls, drive enhancements to improve customer experience, and collaborate with regulators, engineers and product teams; occasional travel to Wise offices globally is expected.

Qualifications

• 8 years experience in Compliance, ideally in financial or payments sectors.
• 5+ years advising regulatory challenges on card schemes or issuing solutions.
• Experience across fraud, financial crime, consumer protection and regulatory regimes.
• Natural owner who drives projects from inception to completion and delves into details.
• Engaging communicator, able to collaborate with regulators, engineers and others.
• Analytical, uses data to inform decisions and challenge assumptions.
• Experience in fast-growing environments applying industry knowledge in a new paradigm.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Wise offices globally.

Responsibilities

• Design the Product Risk and Compliance Program for Wise to offer Credit Cards across licenses worldwide.
• Own projects and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Legal teams.
• Lead Credit Card Regulatory, Fincrime and Risk discussions and forums.
• Define the Global Regulatory and Compliance Risk metrics and regionalise for local teams.
• Coordinate prioritisation and remediation efforts to improve processes and customer experience.
