Job summary

Wise is seeking a Head of Global Card Expansion to own our card partnerships and global card programme strategy. You will lead executive relationships with Visa, Mastercard and our issuing banks, shape how we launch the Wise Card in new markets, and drive commercial models that optimize customer experience and economics.

You will work across Product, Banking & Expansion, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Engineering to scale globally, navigate regulatory requirements, and build a

Qualifications

• Direct experience with Visa and Mastercard and navigating large global organisations.
• Deep expertise in card ecosystem: issuing, acquiring, rules, network economics.
• Proven track in negotiating complex commercial agreements with card schemes/partners.
• Experience launching or scaling card programmes across multiple markets.
• Familiarity with regulatory, AML and financial crime requirements.
• Led cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Compliance and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Own Wise's global card partnerships with Visa, Mastercard, issuer banks and acquiring partners.
• Define expansion strategy for Wise Card across markets and entities.
• Lead multi-year commercial negotiations and improve card economics.
• Collaborate with regional teams to launch card features in new markets.
• Ensure compliance with scheme rules, AML and local regulations.
• Be the go-to expert on the global card ecosystem and influence product strategy.
