Job summary

Assured Data Protection is seeking a skilled Core Infrastructure Network Engineer to join our Global Core Infrastructure team. You will implement, support, and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available network environments across multiple regions, with a focus on troubleshooting and performance.

Candidates should have hands-on Cisco networking expertise (Nexus would be ideal), Fortigate firewalls, and familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware/Hyper-V and Nutanix.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification or higher.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, datacenter).
• Proven experience managing Fortigate firewalls in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex, multi-site networks.
• Experience with Wireshark and iPerf for network analysis.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience working in a distributed or global IT team.

Responsibilities

• Implement, troubleshoot and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure across global environments.
• Support and optimize Cisco-based networks, including routing, switching, and datacenter technologies.
• Configure and manage Fortigate firewalls, including VPNs, security policies, and traffic inspection
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, and datacenter environments
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to support infrastructure projects and issues.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota, providing incident response outside standard hours
• Provide networking expertise to support virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
• Participate in network architecture reviews, capacity planning, and performance tuning
• Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams
• Support change management, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Work with a global remote team, including occasional on-call support
