Job summary

Assured Data Protection is seeking a highly skilled Core Infrastructure Network Engineer to join our Global Core Infrastructure team in a hybrid Leeds-based role. You will implement, support, and optimize secure, scalable network environments across regions, with hands-on Cisco Nexus and Fortigate firewall work, plus virtualization platform collaboration.

The ideal candidate has CCNA or higher, strong troubleshooting across multi-site networks, and comfort working with distributed teams across

Qualifications

• CCNA certification or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing & switching, BGP, VLANs, STP, LACP).
• Proven experience managing Fortigate firewalls in enterprise environments.
• Experience with network analysis tools like Wireshark, iPerf, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting across complex, multi-site networks.

Responsibilities

• Implement, troubleshoot and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure across global environments.
• Support and optimize Cisco-based networks, including routing, switching, and datacenter technologies.
• Configure and manage Fortigate firewalls, including VPNs, security policies, and traffic inspection.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, and datacenter environments.
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to support projects and issues.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota for operational support.
• Provide networking expertise to support virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and procedures.
