Job summary
ATS Global in Edinburgh is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to join our growing automation team. You will design, develop and configure automation solutions for industrial customers and manage projects from pre-sales through commissioning.
You will work with Siemens and Rockwell platforms and develop SCADA solutions, helping customers achieve reliable, efficient operations. You will travel to customer sites, including internationally, and collaborate with our Business Development and
Qualifications
- A relevant engineering qualification and/or practical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Siemens or Rockwell automation systems.
- Experience with SCADA technologies.
- Knowledge of functional safety systems.
- Experience with automation hardware such as VSDs and control panels.
- Experience delivering automation projects from design through commissioning.
- Clear communication and a structured, self-organised approach to work.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and configure automation solutions for industrial customers.
- Support projects from pre-sales through to commissioning.
- Work with Siemens or Rockwell platforms.
- Develop SCADA systems knowledge (FactoryTalk/WinCC/Ignition/Wonderware).
- Work with automation hardware including VSDs and control panels.
- Contribute to testing and technical documentation.
- Deliver small to mid-size automation projects meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Engineering teams.
- Build strong relationships with customers as a trusted partner.
- Identify opportunities to expand solutions and services.
- Continuously expand knowledge of automation and IT.
