Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Automation Engineer (Control Systems) for Cumbernauld, Scotland. You will own the full lifecycle of PLC/DCS and SCADA software development using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.

You will configure networks, perform factory and site testing, and commission systems at customer sites, while maintaining accurate documentation and working with autonomy and opportunity for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience designing PLC/DCS/SCADA software across automation projects.
• Independently coding on Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms is essential.
• Full lifecycle responsibility from design to commissioning.

Are you an Automation Engineer or similar, with experience independently coding control systems using Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms, looking for a fully autonomous, joining an industry leading company, offering a highly technical role where you will be recognised as an expert in the field?

In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of designing a variety of PLC/DCS and SCADA software's for variety of control applications, code independently on both Siemens and Rockwell platforms. You will also be responsible for configuring communication networks, carrying out both factory and site testing, alongside commissioning on customer sites, keeping accurate documentation.

This role would suit an Automation/Controls Engineer or similar looking to design bepoke intergated automated systems from scratch. You will have prior experience independently coding on Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms.
