Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Automation Engineer (Control Systems) based in Cumbernauld, Scotland. You will design PLC/DCS and SCADA software, code independently on Siemens and Rockwell platforms, and configure communication networks.

You will also be responsible for factory and site testing and commissioning at customer sites. The role offers a highly autonomous position within a respected company, with training, progression and benefits as part of the package.

Are you an Automation Engineer or similar, with experience independently coding control systems using Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms, looking for a fully autonomous, joining an industry leading company, offering a highly technical role where you will be recognised as an expert in the field?

In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of designing a variety of PLC/DCS and SCADA software’s for variety of control applications, code independently on both Siemens and Rockwell platforms. You will also be responsible for configuring communication networks, carrying out both factory and site testing, alongside commissioning on customer sites, keeping accurate documentation.

This role would suit an Automation/Controls Engineer or similar looking to design bepoke intergated automated systems from scratch. You will have prior experience independently coding on Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms.
