Job summary
Workforce Group partner with a growing automation specialist designing, building and installing bespoke control systems for customers across the UK and internationally. They seek an experienced Controls & Robotics Engineer to join the team, taking ownership from concept to handover on bespoke projects, with UK and international travel (~40%).
The role offers hands-on work on PLC programming, robotics, HMI, SCADA and industrial networks, with opportunities to travel to customer sites in Europe,
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proficient in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA.
- Experience with integrating robotics and automation projects.
- Willingness to travel UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Designing and programming PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial network systems.
- Programming and integrating industrial robots.
- Developing control architectures and automation solutions with design teams.
- Taking ownership of projects from concept to handover and commissioning.
- Installing, commissioning and testing machinery at customer sites.
- Providing customer training and technical support.
- Diagnosing faults and improving existing control and robotic systems.
- Managing project priorities and customer communication.
- Working with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Mentoring other engineers and ensuring safe, high-standard delivery.
