Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology seeking a Lead Content Licensing Specialist to own and grow its licensing partner portfolio across the US and international markets. You will manage renewals, ensure compliance, and close new licensing deals to fill gaps by practice area or jurisdiction.

You will read complex licensing agreements, negotiate terms, and maintain long-term partner relationships while collaborating with Content, Product, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in content licensing, publishing rights, or partnership management.
• Proven track record closing multi‑stakeholder or high‑value international licensing agreements.
• Experience managing a portfolio of external partners across multiple markets.
• Strong ability to read and analyze complex legal documents, copyrights, and digital rights.
• Negotiation skills across financial, technical, and strategic terms with external stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication to manage external executives and internal teams.
• Project management to handle multiple high-impact deals and renewals with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for a global portfolio of licensing partners and publishers.
• Own the renewal cycle and ensure continuity of content supply across markets.
• Identify and pursue new licensing deals to close content gaps by practice area or jurisdiction.
• Negotiate contractual, financial, technical, and strategic terms and close deals.
• Collaborate with Content, Product, and Legal to align licensing terms with roadmap and metadata standards.
