Job summary

THG is seeking a talented Consolidation Accountant to join its Finance team in Manchester. You will lead group consolidations, IFRS reporting, and IFRS16 lease accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 2-3 years consolidation and technical accounting experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, particularly IFRS16, and UK reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and consolidation systems; able to automate and improve processes.
• Experience in a UK-listed company or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Group Consolidation & Reporting: prepare and review group and sub-consolidations in IFRS/UK standards.
• IFRS16 Lease Accounting: manage lease accounting, ensure proper recognition and disclosures.
• Technical Accounting: provide expertise on debt, FX, and equity transactions; prepare technical papers for management and auditors.
• Preparation of Financial Notes: draft and review notes to the financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement improvements in consolidation and reporting processes.
• Compliance & Audit: support year-end audit and ensure internal control compliance.
