Job summary

THG is seeking a Consolidation Accountant to join the Finance team in the UK. You will support group consolidations, IFRS16 lease accounting, and technical accounting in a fast-growing, international environment.

You will work with Group Finance to ensure IFRS compliance and timely financial reporting. Applicants should have ACCA/ACIA/CIMA qualification and 2–3 years in consolidation, with strong Excel and Tagetik experience.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in consolidation and technical accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS16, and UK financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in financial consolidation systems (particularly Tagetik) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in a UK-listed company or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Group Consolidation & Reporting: Prepare and review group and multi-layered sub-consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UK reporting standards.
• IFRS16 Lease Accounting: Manage accounting related to IFRS16 leases, ensure proper recognition, measurement, and disclosure of leases.
• Technical Accounting: Provide expertise on technical accounting matters, including debt, FX, and equity transactions.
• Preparation of Financial Notes: Draft and review notes to the financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK statutory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the consolidation and reporting functions.
• Compliance & Audit: Support the year-end audit process by preparing required schedules and liaising with auditors.
