Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Kingdom seeks a Commodity Manager to own global sourcing strategies that support manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement and business management to ensure a cost-effective, reliable supply base that meets quality, delivery, capacity and technical requirements.

Your day involves analysing supplier markets, identifying sourcing opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements and leading a cross-functional commodity circle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in supplier-facing purchasing, strategic sourcing or commodity management.
• Experience with technical commodities in manufacturing; metal forming knowledge is a plus.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies aligned with manufacturing needs.
• Analyse supplier markets, pricing trends and TCO to identify savings opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional commodity circle and engage with Engineering, Quality and Procurement.
• Negotiate framework and contract terms to ensure cost, quality and continuity.
