Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager to own global sourcing strategies across manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Procurement to ensure a competitive, reliable supply base that meets quality, delivery and capability requirements.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred.
• Minimum five years in supplier-facing purchasing or strategic sourcing.
• Experience with technical commodities in manufacturing environments.
• Strong commercial/negotiation skills and managing supplier contracts.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience coaching or guiding others is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global commodity and sourcing strategies with a cross-functional circle.
• Analyse supplier markets and pricing trends to identify competitive sourcing opportunities (dual/multiple sourcing).
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation and selection with Engineering and Quality.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships through regular engagement, visits and quarterly reviews.
• Negotiate and manage framework and pricing agreements; oversee contract lifecycle and cost reduction.
• Conduct spend analysis and total cost of ownership assessments to identify savings and risks.
