Job summary

Bulten AB in the United Kingdom seeks a Commodity Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for key product categories, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and supply continuity. You will build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage risk, and drive cost reduction while aligning with ISO and ESG expectations.

The role reports to the Procurement Manager in the UK and involves collaborating with engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams; leading supplier evaluations;

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a commercial role.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strategic sourcing expertise.
• Cost analysis and financial acumen.
• Data analysis (ERP/MRP systems knowledge preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies and manage purchasing activities with nominated suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new sources of supply to meet supplier strategy.
• Lead contract negotiations and pricing agreements; drive cost-saving projects.
• Drive supplier/SKU rationalisation and consolidate volumes toward strategic vendors.
• Analyze market trends, supply risks and cost drivers; develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality and finance teams.
• Adhere to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949.
