Hitachi Rail UK Limited in Newton Aycliffe, Durham, UK, invites applications for a Commodity Manager to join our Procurement team. You will own a portfolio of commodities supporting rolling stock manufacturing, service and maintenance, and manage the full source-to-contract lifecycle.

You will develop commodity and sourcing plans, lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards, and work with stakeholders to optimise value, risk, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous commodity management experience, within manufacturing or services.
• Experience negotiating contracts and handling lifecycle activities.
• Strong understanding of contract terms and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver commodity plans aligned to category strategy.
• Lead sourcing events including RFX and e-auctions.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contract terms.
• Support ERP/MRP material setup.
