Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a Business Development Manager for Commodities to drive client development and opportunity progression across global sectors. You will collaborate with partners, sector executives and BD colleagues to translate priorities into practical client programs.

You will manage pipelines, lead pitches, coordinate senior-level meetings and help deliver marketing and thought leadership that strengthens client relationships and supports cross-practice growth.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or client development experience in a professional services firm (legal sector is a plus).
• Experience supporting or leading pitches, proposals, client programmes and BD initiatives.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work with senior partners and lawyers.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diplomacy.
• Proactive collaboration across teams, practices and regions.
• Experience or knowledge of Commodities sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive client development activity for priority Commodities clients and develop focused client account plans.
• Identify and progress cross-practice and cross-region opportunities to deepen client relationships.
• Manage the Commodities opportunity pipeline, ensuring opportunities are qualified, tracked and progressed.
• Lead and coordinate pitches, panels and proposals for priority clients and ensure follow-up.
• Coordinate senior-level client meetings, sector roadshows and engagement programmes.
• Translate sector objectives into practical BD plans, campaigns and client programmes.
• Provide and share market, competitor and client insight across Commodities markets.
• Support targeted marketing, communications and thought leadership activities.
• Track BD activity and outcomes to support reporting and ROI analysis.
• Build strong relationships with partners, lawyers and BD colleagues across jurisdictions.
