Job summary
Ernest Gordon Recruitment is hiring a Maintenance Engineer (Commissioning / Industrial Automation) in Taunton. You will commission, install and service converting machinery at customer sites worldwide, while providing technical support on electrical and control systems such as PLCs and HMIs.
The role requires a fully time-served Electrical Engineer with strong Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC experience, and a willingness to travel internationally with a generous package and annual bonus.
Qualifications
- Fully time-served Electrical Engineer.
- Strong experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Responsibilities
- Commission, install, and service a range of converting machinery at customer sites worldwide.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on fixes across electrical and control systems.
- Work with motors, drives, PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley), and HMIs.
- Deliver training to customers on the safe and efficient use of machinery.
- Perform diagnostics and apply debugging techniques to resolve issues.
- 50% based on site (Taunton) and 50% travel nationally/international.
