Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment supports a family-owned automation specialist in Plymouth seeking an Automation Engineer. You will develop PLC programs, upgrade HMIs, and provide SCADA support on bespoke machinery for global clients, using Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs.

The role is mainly office-based (85%) with some site work (£ travel). Applicants should have a full UK driving licence and be prepared to commute nationwide and abroad.

Qualifications

Automation Engineer or similar required.
Willing to commute to client sites throughout the UK and abroad.
Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Develop PLC programs, upgrading HMIs and providing SCADA support.
Commission bespoke systems at client sites and support the manufacturing process from concept to commissioning.
