Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Controls Engineer (Bespoke Machinery) in Plymouth to develop PLC programs, upgrade HMIs, provide SCADA support, and Commission bespoke systems for a worldwide client base. This role concentrates 85% in the office, with 15% site visits across the UK and abroad.

The successful candidate will work with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs within a family-run automation business, enjoying an enhanced holiday allowance and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controls Engineer or similar.
• Full UK driving license.
• Willing to commute to client sites across the UK and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs.
• Upgrade HMIs and provide SCADA support.
• Commission bespoke systems at client sites.
• Work with 85% office and 15% site-based duties.
