Qualifications

• Background in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer engineering drawings, specifications and component samples to establish technical and manufacturing requirements.
• Liaising with overseas manufacturers to discuss component specifications, materials, tolerances and manufacturing methods.
• Coordinating the development of new and replacement components from initial enquiry through sampling, customer approval and production.
• Reviewing samples, inspection reports and dimensional checks to ensure components meet the required specifications.
• Investigating manufacturing problems, casting defects and dimensional discrepancies, working with suppliers to agree suitable solutions.
