Job summary

Pernod Ricard, including Chivas Brothers, seeks a Global Category Manager for Industrial Capex and Opex to lead end-to-end procurement across engineering, equipment and construction. Based in Kilmalid, Dumbarton or Speyside, you will drive cost optimisation, governance, and strategic supplier partnerships while supporting major capital projects.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations and Project teams to maximise asset lifecycle value and ensure alignment with global category strategies

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Industrial Capex procurement, engineering, construction, or technical sourcing environments.
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and deliver measurable value through cost optimisation, supplier leverage, risk mitigation, and sustainable procurement practices.
• Strong expertise in managing complex capital investment procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance improvement.
• Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and global environments, partnering with Engineering, Operations, and Project stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of industrial contract frameworks, procurement governance, and capital project delivery models (EPC, EPCM, MF1, Orgalim, NEC, FIDIC).
• Experience contributing to procurement transformation programmes, embedding best practices and governance across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for assigned Capex/Opex categories and deliver value through governance and supplier partnerships.
• Execute the Group Sourcing Strategy for Industrial Capex investments and optimise Total Cost of Ownership.
• Lead complex negotiations and contracting strategies for high-value engineering and construction packages.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations and Project teams to maximise asset lifecycle value.
• Deliver robust procurement governance compliant with Pernod Ricard policies and internal controls.
• Support major capital project delivery balancing commercial, operational and strategic objectives.
