Job summary

Pernod Ricard is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager (Mechanical) to lead major Capex projects within our UK distillation & maturation operations, delivering outcomes safely, on time and within budget.

You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate design packages, oversee FEED/detailed design, monitor costs and ensure proper handover to Operations, while collaborating with global technology and senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) required.
• Chartered Mechanical Engineer status or equivalent experience.
• Substantial engineering project management experience in a process environment.
• Experience in risk management, stakeholder engagement and financial planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic Capex projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate design packages, specifications, and vendor selection.
• Ensure Capex studies (FEED, detailed design) are completed and budgets phased.
• Integrate global technology experts into design discussions.
• Arrange asset testing with startup leads and ensure performance compliance.
• Oversee project reporting and governance with senior management and steering committees.
• Support learning and development within the project team.
• Provide technical coaching and ensure smooth handover to Operations.
