Job summary

CATL is seeking a commissioning engineer to support large-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. You will perform on-site commissioning, troubleshoot electrical and BMS/PCS/EMS components, and drive SAT and grid-connection tests with the project team.

Fluent English is required for site communication, with Mandarin proficiency advantageous. Willingness to travel extensively and undertake long-term assignments across Europe and other locations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above required.
• Majors in Electrical Engineering, Energy, or Renewable Tech preferred.
• 1–3 years in electrical equipment commissioning or energy projects; 5+ for managerial track.

Responsibilities

• Participate in commissioning, project delivery, and SAT for large BESS projects.
• Perform troubleshooting and defect resolution for battery containers/cabinets (DC up to 1500V DC; AC 220/400V).
• Assist with PCS/EMS commissioning and on-site fault analysis.
• Provide customer training on system operation and maintenance.
• Track issues through to closure and ensure schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, After-Sales, and Project Management.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements during commissioning.
