Job summary

ERSG Limited is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support commissioning, testing and integration of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). You will be responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting PLC/RTU, SCADA, EMS/PMS, BMS interfaces and plant-level controls.

The role requires close collaboration with commissioning, electrical, SCADA and OEM teams to ensure a fully configured, tested and handed-over BESS control architecture.

Qualifications

• Experience with BESS control systems, PLCs and RTUs.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA, EMS/PMS, BMS interfaces and PCS/inverters.
• Experience commissioning, testing and fault diagnosis in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through energisation and handover.
• Commission and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, SCADA, EMS/PMS and plant control systems.
• Configure and test control logic, sequences, interlocks, alarms and trips.
• Verify communications between BESS components and energy management systems.
• Perform I/O checks, loop checks and point-to-point testing.
• Support FAT/SAT activities and review test documentation.
• Test operating modes including charging, discharging, standby and grid support.
