Job summary

CS e-Storage seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead a team through commissioning of utility-scale battery storage projects. You will plan activities, coordinate with the Client and EPC partners, and travel to project sites as required.

The role requires a Masters in electrical engineering, 5+ years of direct experience, 2+ years in leadership, and strong project reporting skills. Hybrid work in London/Glasgow/Leeds with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years direct technical experience in substations, solar EPC, energy storage, or similar.
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
• Minimum 2 years of commissioning experience.
• Strong ability to document and report technical work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning plans with resourcing and scheduling.
• Lead on-site commissioning and acceptance testing with safety in mind.
• Manage 4–5 engineers/technicians and assign project tasks.
• Ensure documentation for commissioning and testing records is complete.
• Collaborate with clients and EPCs to define testing protocols for COD.
• Travel up to 50% and support sites for multi-week commissioning phases.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
