Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Global AI Markets NFR – VP to provide governance and oversight of AI risk across Markets & Securities Services. You will partner with AI Markets business and risk teams to identify, assess and escalate AI-related risks, driving control enhancements in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires strong experience in non-financial risk, governance, and AI/analytics risk, with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Markets/front-office non-financial risk, control, audit, business management and governance.
• Strong understanding of front-office control frameworks and conduct risks in a regulated banking context.
• Knowledge across AI / model / analytics risk and related disciplines such as model risk, cyber, data governance and operational resilience.
• Experience supporting AI, analytics, digital or front-office technology programmes, and working effectively across business and technology change agendas.
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across business, technology and control functions, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary NFR point of contact for Risk and Governance of the AI Markets platform.
• Supporting and promoting the operating effectiveness of the AI Markets control framework.
• Reviewing and challenging non-financial risk and control activity.
• Partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure AI Markets risks are identified and managed appropriately.
• Ownership of governance forums and associated materials, ensuring issues and remediation actions are tracked and escalated.
• Providing oversight of monitoring and reporting, including model/performance reporting.
• Co-ordinating reviews and enquiries for AI Markets from internal review teams, auditors, regulators or first/second line partners.
• Driving continuous improvement across the AI Markets control environment.
• Embedding a strong control and conduct culture for AI-enabled activity across Markets.
