Job summary

National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) invites applications for a part-time Childline Twilight Practitioner in Glasgow. The role supports children and young people during late, twilight and night hours and collaborates with a dedicated team to ensure a high-quality, safeguarding-focused service.

The post involves a hybrid rota, spanning day, twilight and night shifts over a 6-week pattern, with a 10.5% rota allowance on top of the basic salary.

Qualifications

• Has a strong background working with children and young people within a safeguarding context
• Believes in our cause, our mission, and wants to help us be there for all children and young people
• Has a passion for supporting others, especially in situations which can be emotionally challenging

Responsibilities

• Lead on key on-shift safeguarding decisions and use coaching to maintain and develop the quality of the service
• Provide supervision, coaching, feedback, training and support to volunteers
• Deliver a high-quality service to every child and young person, including overnight and twilight contacts
