Job summary

NSPCC's Childline twilight role in Liverpool requires a Part-time Practitioner (28 hours) to support late and overnight shifts. You’ll supervise volunteers, handle safeguarding decisions, and contribute to a high-quality service for children and young people.

You will work a hybrid rota across six weeks, including daytime, twilight and night shifts, with a 10.5% rota allowance and opportunities to coach and train volunteers. Join a mission-driven team delivering critical support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people within a safeguarding context.
• Ability to coach and supervise volunteers during shifts.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality support to vulnerable children.
• Willingness to work daytime, twilight and night shifts on a rotating pattern.

Responsibilities

• Lead on on-shift safeguarding decisions and support volunteers.
• Provide direct support to children and young people as a Twilight Practitioner.
• Offer supervision, coaching, feedback and training to volunteers outside shifts.
• Ensure every child receives a high-quality service and maintain safeguarding standards.
