Job summary

Marks & Spencer in Glasgow is seeking a Security Officer to cover Argyle Street, Battlefield, West End, Anniesland and surrounding areas. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues and use store technology including body-worn cameras to support operations.

Ideal candidates have a calm, professional approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence in store to deter loss and protect customers and colleagues.
• Respond to incidents and help with emergency procedures.
• Identify risks and support safe ways of working within the store.
• Use store technology and body-worn cameras to support incident management.
• Work closely with store colleagues to deliver excellent customer service while keeping the environment safe.

Location: Glasgow - must be able to cover the following areas: Argyle Street, Battlefield, West End, Anniesland, Breahead, Bishops Briggs, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride & surrounding areas.

Salary - £15.20 per hour

Candidate must have own transport due to locations

• You'll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you'll always act professionally and confidently.
• Being a team player is crucial. You'll work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Flexibility is vital. Retail moves fast and every day is different. You'll adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.

What we're looking for
