Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Security Officer for M&S stores across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment, stay calm under pressure and protect customers and colleagues with professional service.

The role requires a proactive, customer-focused mindset, strong communication, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents. An SIA licence is desirable, and you must be able to provide a 5-year UK work history. £16.50 per hour.

Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues.

• -Being digitally confident is essential. You'll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• -You'll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you'll always act professionally and confidently.
• -Being a team player is crucial. You'll work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.

• -A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential
