Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS UK Limited in Glasgow is looking for an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex projects on time, within budget and to quality standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

This onsite role requires strong governance, planning and reporting capabilities, plus a proven track record in delivering projects and developing others within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong project-management experience delivering complex projects.
• Effective team leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management with customers, partners and suppliers.
• Ability to present concise project-performance information to senior leaders.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, risk/issue management, and governance.
• Commercial and financial acumen including estimating and budgeting.
• Analytical ability to investigate cost variances and take action.
• Clear communication and motivational skills; coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for delivery of the project or work package within time, cost and quality objectives.
• Provide direction, leadership and motivation to the project team.
• Ensure delivery follows governance and control processes.
• Manage plans, schedules, resources, risks, and performance reporting.
• Handle change management, variations and claims against the baseline.
• Support achievement of KPIs including revenue and EBIT.
• Maintain relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Provide concise performance information to senior managers and customers.
