Reach plc's Sunday Mail hub in Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled Production Editor on a permanent, part-time basis. The role oversees the print edition, shaping pages, headlines and layout while meeting tight deadlines.

Based in or around Glasgow, you will lead a team of subs, coordinate with editors across Reach's group, and ensure IPSO-compliant, high-quality output. This role offers generous holiday and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in print production journalism.
• Ability to guide and lead a subs team across a newsroom.
• Outstanding editorial judgement and initiative under pressure.
• Proven ability to draw pages and write headlines accurately.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of the Sunday Mail.
• Layout pages and spreads, write headlines, allocate work to team members.
• Revise pages to meet high standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate with editors across the group to avoid duplication and share content.
• Direct subs and production team, implement changes as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with IPSO, legal and budget requirements.
