Job summary

Pertemps Maidstone seeks an experienced Painter & Decorator for a temporary, full-time assignment based in Gillingham. You will join a facilities management team, delivering high-quality decoration and maintenance across various buildings.

The role runs from 01 September to 31 October 2026, with hours 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend work. The hourly rate is £16.97 PAYE, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Previous painting and decorating experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior painting and decorating.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling and cleaning.
• Applying paint, gloss, varnish and specialist finishes.
• Touch-up, repair and maintenance work.
• Ensuring all work areas are left clean and tidy.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
• Delivering excellent customer service and workmanship.
