Job summary

Cats Protection in Chelwood Gate, East Sussex, is seeking a Gift Aid Advisor for a fixed-term role ending 31 December 2027 with hybrid working (approx. 2 days office-based).

The role covers all Gift Aid processes, CRM record-keeping, and HMRC claims, within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure best practices, maintain accurate records, and support supporters with Gift Aid while benefiting from flexible working and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in a Gift Aid role, preferably within a fundraising environment.
• Experience of office administration, maintaining recording systems and procedures.
• Working or volunteering in a fundraising environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• IT literate - proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook and CRM databases.

Responsibilities

• The purpose of this role is to be responsible for all aspects of the Gift Aid process, from the maintenance of Gift Aid record keeping on the main donor CRM and the Retail CRM, to the timely and efficient claiming of Gift Aid on the donations received at Cats Protection from HMRC.
• You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that Cats Protection follows best practice in raising, recording, processing and claiming Gift Aid.
