Job summary

KierBAM are seeking a Site Engineer (Geotechnical) based at Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard. The role focuses on managing technical compliance to design specs, ensuring work is safe, on time and to high quality for a major MOD site.

You will assist with as-built records, quality checks, surveys and geotechnical tasks including drilling, grouting, anchoring, and testing, while ensuring RAMS and site safety compliance.

Qualifications

• You hold an academic qualification at Level 3 or above (HNC, HND, or Degree).
• You have experience with survey equipment (GPS, Total Station) for setting out and survey work.
• You have experience in geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection, and testing.
• You're familiar with Quality Management Systems and confident writing RAMS.
• You hold a Supervisor HSE test qualification and CSCS White AQP Card.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and maintaining effective systems to record completed work
• Participating in quality checks and surveys, and assisting with site safety, environmental, and quality inspections
• Recording and testing of workmanship and materials including drilling, grouting, and anchoring operations
• Setting out works to be constructed within allowable tolerances from a provided site control
• Providing engineering support to overcome technical challenges and ensuring the workforce understands setting out information
