Amey is offering an Industry Placement in Geotechnical Engineering in Belfast. Starting salary is £26,582 with a 40-hour week and a start date in September 2027. You will work within Amey Consulting’s geotechnical practice, supporting teams across major infrastructure projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Produce desk studies to determine risk and suitable solutions for design with safety first and foremost.
• Plan and supervise ground investigations to inform geotechnical interventions.
• Carry out geotechnical asset inspections on major infrastructure in Rail and Highways sectors.
• Propose solutions to engineering problems and perform calculations and analysis to determine their suitability.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and design reports.
