Job summary

Arup in the United Kingdom is offering a graduate opportunity in Ground Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering. You will investigate ground conditions, model data and support early design decisions on major infrastructure and water projects.

This program develops engineers through mentoring, hands-on site exposure and integrated design experience. This role welcomes undergraduates or recent graduates with a strong science or engineering background, and requires eligible UK work status.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor's level (or equivalent, Master's preferred) in Ground Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Full working rights in the country of application.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Assessing site constraints, geological hazards and ground conditions to help shape projects at their early stages.
• Analysing ground investigation data to derive ground models and parameters for use in design.
• Representing Arup on site during ground investigations, earthworks and other construction activities.
• Delivering Total Design by working closely with other disciplines to provide integrated project solutions.
• Written and verbal communication during all stages of projects, from initial optioneering through to detailed design.
