Job summary

RGB in Exeter is seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer to take ownership of selected projects, delivering geotechnical designs and contributing to feasibility studies. You will work with engineers and technicians, providing technical input across rail, bridges, buildings and infrastructure, including site inspections as needed.

The role supports hybrid working and offers career development through mentoring, CPD activities and support toward professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical design and delivery on schemes.
• Strong ability to prepare technical reports and options studies.
• Good communication and collaborative working with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical designs for permanent and temporary works.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies and options appraisals.
• Undertake site inspections and geotechnical surveys as required.
• Review and check designs and support client relationships.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across offices.
