Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd in Exeter is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer to join the growing geotechnical team. You will take ownership of selected projects, collaborate with civil and structural engineers, and contribute to a varied workload covering permanent and temporary works.

The role offers mentoring, CPD support and clear progression toward chartership, with opportunities to lead and influence project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related.
• Experience in UK projects and familiarity with UK standards and practice.
• Chartered status or progress toward chartership with a body such as CEng or CGeol.
• Strong technical reporting, communication and collaborative working skills.
• Experience in rail, bridges, buildings or temporary works is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical designs for permanent and temporary works.
• Review and check designs and coordinate with engineers and technicians.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies and options appraisals.
• Undertake site inspections and geotechnical surveys as required.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across offices and disciplines.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical input to schemes.
