Job summary

Pertemps Tm Exeter is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing geotechnical team. You will take ownership of selected projects, work with civil, structural and geotechnical colleagues, and progress toward chartership with structured support.

The role offers a varied workload across rail, bridges and buildings, with mentoring, CPD and professional qualifications support as you develop technical reporting and client liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Experienced graduate or intermediate engineer progressing toward chartership.
• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or closely related discipline.
• Relevant geotechnical engineering experience with ownership of design delivery.
• Experience of UK projects and familiarity with UK standards and practice.
• Chartered status, or progress toward chartership, with a professional body such as CEng or CGeol.
• Strong technical reporting, communication and collaborative working skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical designs for permanent and temporary works.
• Provide geotechnical input to civil and structural schemes.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies and options appraisals.
• Undertake site inspections and geotechnical surveys as required.
• Review and check designs and support client relationships.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across offices and disciplines.
