Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment are seeking a Geo Project Engineer to join their Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental team in Northamptonshire. You will manage projects from enquiry to completion, deliver site investigations, and develop geotechnical designs for diverse sectors.

The role requires degree-qualified candidates with strong reporting, client-management skills and experience with site logging. A supportive environment offers training, progression and a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Ideally 5+ years' post-graduate consultancy experience in geotechnical or geo-environmental engineering.
• Experience delivering ground investigation and geotechnical projects.
• Practical site investigations including borehole and trial pit logging.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software such as HoleBASE, GEO5 or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical and geo-environmental projects from enquiry to completion within budgets and timescales.
• Undertake and supervise site investigations, logging boreholes and trial pits.
• Carry out environmental monitoring and coordinate testing.
• Provide geotechnical design calculations (foundations, slope stability, earthworks).
• Prepare technical reports and interpretative documents for stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate site activities and QA procedures; ensure compliance with standards.
