Job summary

GSL Education in Hull is seeking a Geography Teacher to join a supportive provision from October half term. You will plan and deliver Geography lessons to secondary pupils and work with SEMH/SEND needs, maintaining a calm, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and experience with SEMH pupils. You will manage challenging behaviour with positive, consistent strategies and collaborate with a dedicated school team.

Qualifications

Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
Qualified to teach Geography with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND needs is highly desirable.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across the secondary curriculum.
Adapt teaching to meet individual needs of pupils and create a supportive classroom environment.
Build strong professional relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Deliver differentiated lessons and monitor pupil progress.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
Collaborate with the wider school team to support SEMH/SEND pupils.
