Job summary

GSL Education Lincoln Branch is seeking a Geography Teacher to deliver engaging lessons in Grimsby, across physical and human geography. The role requires planning, data use, and critical thinking to help students explore geographical issues and support learning progress.

Qualified teachers with QTS or equivalent are encouraged to apply. DBS on update service is preferred, with opportunities for day-to-day or long-term assignments and a supportive consultant network.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Geography curriculum.
  • Experience teaching Geography is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate geographical concepts clearly across abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).

  • Explore physical, human, and environmental geography through varied activities.
  • Incorporate maps, data, case studies, and digital resources into lessons.

  • Prepare examination groups through targeted revision and assessment activities.

Job Title: Geography Teacher

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Lincoln Branch are recruiting knowledgeable and engaging Geography Teacher to work with excellent schools in Grimsby. We would like to hear from qualified educators who can bring geographical concepts to life, encourage curiosity about the wider world, and develop learners' ability to investigate, interpret, and evaluate geographical information.

The Geography Teacher will deliver stimulating lessons across physical and human geography, helping students build subject knowledge while strengthening their analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking skills.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver curriculum-focused Geography lessons across relevant key stages
  • Explore physical, human, and environmental geography through varied learning activities
  • Incorporate maps, data, case studies, and digital resources into lessons
  • Encourage learners to investigate geographical issues and evaluate different perspectives
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support further development
  • Prepare examination groups through targeted revision and assessment activities
Geography Teacher Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong understanding of the Geography curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching Geography is desirable
  • Ability to communicate geographical concepts clearly across different ability levels
  • Effective planning, assessment, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
