Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Telford. The role involves planning and delivering Geography for KS3 and KS4, with responsibility for GCSE preparation, and is grounded in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Geography teacher with UK classroom experience.
• Experience delivering Geography at KS3/KS4; GCSE experience desirable.
• Excellent organizational and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.


• Preparing students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations.


• Creating an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.


• Developing students' geographical knowledge, analytical and critical-thinking skills.


• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND.


• Assessing work and providing constructive feedback to support progress.


• Maintaining high expectations and positive classroom behaviour.


• Working collaboratively with the Geography department and wider school team.

The School Are Looking For

• Geography ECTs or fully qualified Geography Teachers.


• Experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school.


• Strong knowledge of the secondary Geography curriculum.


• GCSE Geography teaching experience is desirable.


• A genuine passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students.


• Strong classroom management and communication skills.


• A positive, professional and engaging approach.


• The ability to build strong relationships with students.


• Flexibility, reliability and a commitment to student progress.
