Job summary

Informed Solutions is seeking a skilled GIS Software Engineer to join our GeoAI team on national programmes. You will design and build enterprise geospatial platforms, APIs and cloud infrastructure, enabling advanced spatial analytics and Earth Observation processing.

Collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists and delivery managers, provide accurate estimates, follow best practices, and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GIS Software Engineering experience with .NET, Java or Python and modern JavaScript.
• Experience designing scalable geospatial apps on AWS or Azure.
• Experience with GIS platforms, data and spatial APIs.
• Knowledge of PostGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers, Leaflet, GDAL or QGIS.
• Experience integrating cloud, AI and Earth Observation data in geospatial apps.
• Understanding microservices, APIs, serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, and test-driven development.
• Strong collaboration and communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate technical estimates and raise risks when needed.
